This End-User License Agreement is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Birkbeck College for the PRODUCT identified above. By installing, copying, or otherwise using the PRODUCT, you agree to be bound by the terms of this End-User License Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this End-User License Agreement, you are not authorized to use the PRODUCT.

Product License.

The PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The PRODUCT is licensed, not sold.

Grant of License.

This End-User License Agreement grants you the following rights:

• The PRODUCT is designed to be read with World Wide Web browser software. The latter is not supplied or distributed by Birkbeck College.
• A single electronic local copy of the PRODUCT may be made subject to the following constraints:
  1. You must ensure that the copy is not accessible to any other computer on the Internet.
  2. You must make no modifications to the PRODUCT without the express permission of the author in writing.
  3. Distribution to other users via an internal Intranet is only permitted if you hold a valid Site License.
  4. You may make one electronic copy of the PRODUCT solely for backup or archival purposes.
• You may make unlimited printed copies of any "page" of the PRODUCT for teaching or research purposes subject to such copies not being sold.

Description of Other Rights and Limitations.

• Copyright Notices. You must maintain all copyright notices on all copies of the PRODUCT.
• No Distribution. You may not distribute copies of the PRODUCT to third parties via computer servers or otherwise.
• Rental. You may not rent, lease or lend the PRODUCT.
• Product Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this End-User License Agreement, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this End-User License Agreement.
• Termination. Without prejudice to any other rights, Birkbeck College may terminate this End-User License Agreement if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this End-User License Agreement. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the PRODUCT and all of its component parts.

Copyright.

All title and copyrights in and to the PRODUCT and any copies thereof are owned by Birkbeck College or its suppliers. All title and intellectual property rights in and to the software that generated the PRODUCT remain the property of the author.

No Warranties.

Birkbeck College expressly disclaims any warranty for the PRODUCT. The PRODUCT and any related documentation is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the PRODUCT remains with you.

No Liability for Damages.

In no event shall Birkbeck College or its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use this product.

Miscellaneous.

This product is governed by the laws of the country in which it is sold.
