ACTION

After discussions with PB, the following action was taken by JKC.

  1. Barnabe. In Q3, both of use misunderstood the 21.22Å value initially, until JKC realized that it was 21.22 × λ.
  2. Csorba. For Q4, JKC marks to stand (as only 3 errors). For Q5, iv PB awarded only 1 mark and this was allowed to stand. Several additional feedback comments suggested by Paul were added in.
  3. Kourkoumelis. For Q5, v PB awarded only 1 mark and this was allowed to stand. An additional feedback comment suggested by Paul was added in.
  4. Omotoso. (In agreement - model answers)
  5. Owens. For Q1 & Q5 viii PB marks allowed to stand. For Q4, JKC mark left as is.
  6. Pile. For Q1 PB marks allowed to stand. For Q5 vii, JKC notes that axis could refer to either rotation or screw so original mark stands.
  7. Strusevich. For Q4 PB marks allowed to stand. For Q3 JKC marks allowed to stand.

Student marked work adjusted accordingly (with revised comments where appropriate).
