Benzene has a sixfold rotation axis through its centre, perpendicular to to the plane of the ring. Perpendicular to the sixfold, there are 6 twofold rotation axes. In addition, it has 7 mirror planes, a point of inversion, and a -6 axis.
The point-group symmetry for this molecule is given the crystallographic symbol 6/m 2/m 2/m, which is usually shortened to 6/m m m.
