Electromagnetic Spectrum

E-M Spectrum

In order to obtain an image of an object with electromagnetic radiation, the wavelength of that radiation must not be larger than the object. Interatomic distances are roughly of the order of 0.1 = Å, which requires the use of X-rays or equivalent particle beams.
