Interests
My main work interests lie in the
field of microscopy which includes transmission electron microscopy, scanning
electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy.
I enjoy going to the cinema
and listening to music.
Why Powder Diffraction?
There are a number of
reasons why I decided to do this course firstly it gives a good foundation of
the concepts of powder diffraction that are also useful in other areas of
diffraction. Specific topics, such as Rietveld Refinement, are also covered.
Plus I can work in my own time and in the comfort of my own room.
I hope to:
- revise concepts of powder diffraction
- revise symmetry and space groups
- learn Rietveld Refinement
- increase knowledge of powder diffraction
- experience working over the net
Minor comment: Good practice to avoid use of blue as
it is the default colour for hypertext links. Otherwise really excellent.
