During my first degree I used X-ray crystallography to
determine the structure of a homohexameric pseudocatalase,
isolated from L.plantarum, to 2.9 angstrom resolution with
an r factor of 0.296. This was achieved using molecular
replacement techniques. I believe that this, coupled with
my interest in physics will provide me with a good grouding
in the techniques that I will study.
