Quality Level Required for New Course Material

Previous course material for the old MSc Crystallography course was often taught using a whiteboard and pens or with transparencies on an overhead projector. The standards required for web-based material are much higher as illustrated below. Compare the hand-written overhead done with coloured pens circa 1994 (shown left) with that of today's web-based format (shown right).

For pyrolytic graphite, the mosaic spread is relatively broad in contrast to silicon in which the alignment of the mosaic blocks is near perfect.
