Hi Kennedy,
I meant that it is best if you just use local file names e.g. "picture1.gif"
or "page2.htm". If there are any conflicts with existing files
such "submit4.htm", etc. then it is up to me to make changes so that
any conflicts are resolved.
We have discussed the possibility of students posting there own work, but
this could lead to other complications. The best method is to send a zip
file in (with the main HTML page being called "project.htm") and I will
unzip it into the directory
http://pd.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/pdroot/students/y99/miller/
If you don't want to send a zip file, you can send attachments, but this
can be tedious if you decide to use lots of pictures or pages.
I forgot to reply to an earlier email regarding style. The style is
left open to the student - we don't want to be too prescriptive here.
Do make sure that you follow the advice, notes, etc. given with the project.
Also bear in mind any comments made in the course material. It is difficult
to give general advice, but much easier to make comments on viewed specific
material.
I hope this all makes sense,
Jeremy Karl.
