Hi Neil,
  Thanks very much for getting back to me. We get a bit worried when we
lose contact with the students on distance learning courses - in some
cases people move and lose/change email addresses. Based on experience
with the Protein Crystallography course, I would advice against
"suspending" until next year if possible. I can offer you more time for
the course work if you want / are able to continue this year, but you
would need to give me some idea as to when you plan to submit it.
I can certainly talk to Peter about other possibilities.
