Josef Bursik - questions 4
These questions concern the diffraction theory I and II. I used the html documents of the course and highlighted the places which I did not understand well in green (and saved as *_q.htm).
1. (see scate1_q. htm) It is realy so that by passing the electron, both the direction of movement, and the direction of displacement (polarization) are changed by by an angle 2 theta? It means, that tha radiation going from the source is polarized? Would it possible to explain in non-mathematical way the cause why the radiation (after it passes the electron) becomes polarised?

2. (see anomscat_q.htm) The physical phenomenon staying behind the anomalous scattering is (only) the fluorescence? The consequence of anom. scatt. is the abrubt decrease of absorption coefficient by passing the absorption edge (as a consequence of  f  becoming complex number)?

3. If I understand well, the plane which cuts the axes in 1/2, 1/3, and 1/1 (of x, y and z, respectively, see  miller_q.html ) is not the plane which is nearest to the Origin: This is in my opnion the plane, which intersect the axes in 1/3, 1/2, and 1/6 (of x, y and z, respectively). In other words, the set of (3,2,6) planes do not go through the Origin.
