Hi Wolfgang,
  If you pay it is 342 - if work pays then it is 1386. Hence it is better
if you pay and your supervisor pays you. (This avoids any complications -
there is a risk otherwise of ending up in the wrong category!)
(It is obvious to me that you should be paying 342, but it may be
less obvious to a college finance officer.)
