Hi Fraser,
  I have checked the web server log files. My first point is that you should
leave out the double quotes around your name, i.e. use /rowan/ and not
/"rowan"/ in the URL. I suspect that the first time when you did leave
out the quote marks, you mistyped your password since it gave a 404 error
in the log file (not authorised as opposed to 401 file not found).
One quick question: Did it come up with your name correctly in the
password prompt box? (It should prompt for a password from Fraser Rowan
(or Administrator)).
