Jeremy,
                I am afraid that I am having considerable difficulty in
keeping up with the PD00 course. Unfortunately, I underestimated the amount
of time which would have to be spent on the weekly releases. I did intend
sharing the course revision between work hours and my free time, but at the
moment I am working 8:00-7:00 during the day and my free time is mostly
taken up with finishing writing-up my Ph.D. thesis. I do not foresee the
work load which I am dealing with during the day to lighten until May/June
and I expect to be handing in my thesis at the end of March. Although this
gives a few months before the exam date in October I feel that I will have
become to far behind to catch-up. On top of this I do not feel that I will
be able to spend sufficient time on assignments and the project.
                Due to these reasons, I was hoping that it would be possible
to suspend the course and pick it up again this time next year when I will
be able to focus all of my attention onto it. I would be happy to discuss
this matter further by phone if required.
