Coolidge X-ray Tube for Diffraction c. 1940

Photograph of an old X-ray tube on display in the School of Crystallography at Birkbeck College, London. The total length, including connections (not shown), is approximately 75 cm. The anode target is clearly copper as evidenced by the orange-coloured metal.
